General Troubleshooting, FAQ, Instructions, etc.

SBCC does not currently provide Adobe app licenses to all students.  Student licenses are available only when an instructor requests Adobe apps for a specific course. If this applies to your class, your instructor will provide instructions on how to access the apps.

These licenses are temporary and typically expire shortly after the course ends.

Using Adobe Apps in the SBCC Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
Adobe Creative Cloud apps are available through the SBCC Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). The Horizon VDI allows current SBCC users to access a virtual Windows desktop that includes Adobe apps.

Access typically becomes available at the beginning of each term and expires shortly after the course ends.

Please note that Adobe apps may have limited performance in a virtual desktop environment, especially for tasks that require higher processing power.

You can log in to Horizon VDI at:
https://vmview.sbcc.edu

2FA set up instructions for VDI are here:
https://sbcc.edu/it/vdi2fasetupinstructions.php

SBCC provides temporary Microsoft Office (M365) licenses to students who are currently enrolled in classes.  You can use their web/online apps, or download the desktop versions.

These licenses typically expire shortly after you are no longer enrolled in courses.

To access SBCC’s Microsoft Office (M365) apps:
  1. Go to: https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps/?whr=pipeline.sbcc.edu
  2. Sign in using your SBCC Pipeline email address (myusername@pipeline.sbcc.edu)

Microsoft Office (M365) apps are available through the SBCC Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). The Horizon VDI allows current SBCC users to access a virtual Windows desktop that includes Microsoft Office apps.

Access typically becomes available the day after enrollment in a course, and expires shortly after the course ends.

You can log in to Horizon VDI at:

Accessing Your SBCC Campus Account

Access to your campus account may expire if you have not been actively enrolled and completing courses. If you plan to return and take classes, you must reapply for admission to restore your access. You can reapply here:
https://sbcc.edu/apply/index.php
Account access is typically restored within 1–3 business days after submitting your application.

Other Reasons for Expired or Disabled Accounts

Accounts may also be disabled for security reasons, such as suspicious activity or a compromised login. For help, contact IT User Support here:
https://www.sbcc.edu/it/helpdesk.php
