Make sure you have the following before beginning your application.
  • Your high school transcript with an accurate GPA (if you've graduated within the last 10 years)
  • A personal email address (you receive a student email account after registering for a class)
  • Your Social Security Number (SSN) if you have one (more information below)
  • Note: Online applications are processed within 30-45 minutes

Who Should Apply?

Admission is open to anyone who:
• Holds a high school diploma or equivalent; or
• Is 18 years old or older; and/or
• Is enrolled in high school and wishes to attend SBCC concurrently as a part-time student.

Applications for Summer/Fall must be submitted by any student who:
•Was not enrolled at SBCC the previous Spring; or
•Withdrew from all previous Spring SBCC classes on or before January 30 of the current year.

Applicants are urged to provide their Social Security number when applying to SBCC. The Social Security number will be needed for financial aid, employment, education tax credit, and for many special programs that require California certification. SBCC will provide a student identification number if the Social Security number is not provided. The student ID number will not replace the Social Security number. Send Your Transcripts

Contact all the schools you have attended and request to have your official transcripts sent to SBCC. Transcripts may be submitted separately from the application. Have your official transcripts sent to:

Selective Service Registration
